SNF Lab Members:
I was just asked to take a look at the SNF shared-access probe station. I was stunned to find that it was in a completely unusable state. In particular, all of the individual probes are completely dismantled and/or mangled and all but one of the Triaxial probe holders has completely disappeared. The last time that I purchased replacements for the probe holders, they were $510 each .... note: that's not the probe body but only the little thing that looks like a cable that has a triax connector on one end and accepts the probe tip on the other.
Where did all of this stuff go? How did it get to be in such miserable condition? Why has nobody reported problems until now?
I don't know the best way to manage use of and access to this system .... but attempts to be flexible and accommodating have clearly not worked.
If anyone has suggestions for how to improve this situation, I'm all ears. If anyone has a clue as to who was responsible for most of the destruction in that area, I'd be anxious to hear that as well.
Thanks,
John
